what alternitves can be used?

im putting my leather crafting kit together, to buy an edge slicker seems to be a rip off, is there something els that can be used instead? also is there any other alternitives I can use as simple tools.

anything hard and smooth will do the job, go to B&Q and buy a bag of beechwood wardrobe handles, tis only a few quid, they work well as edge slickers, but can also be adapted and used as bearing blocks for the bow drill as well

i use the side of my SAK or a little bone handled norwegian fork.

I've been using the side of a plastic marker pen.

A piece of antler tine also works extremely well.
