I've got some African smoke wood. When its finished its somewhere between wenge and walnut. Its very soft though. The shavings make excellent tinder.

Just as a rough guide, a block of wenge approximately 130mm × 30mm × 40mm should cost you between €6 and €10 including VAT but excluding shipping.

Never seen that mate,used wenge many times and i love it,nice grain,tough and takes a great finish.
