Washing a Snugpak Jungle Blanket

Hi guys,

A bit of advice wanted regarding washing a Snugpak Jungle Blanket. What cleaning product should I ask my girlfriend to put in the washing machine when washing it? We have some Nikwax Tech Wash in the cupboard or should we just use whatever regular washing up detergent/soap we usually use for our clothes?

The reason I ask is because while it is made of fleece one side of the Jungle Blanket has a semi-waterproof breathable material on it.

That's handy. They actually suggest using a technical cleaner, such as Nikwax Tech Wash.

My jungle blanket is not a sleeping bag so does not need special treatment. Your girlfriend should tell you to wash it with soap powder.

So am I...
SnugPak make the blanket using the same materials as their sleeping bags, ergo I would treat it the same...
Back in the old days we used to wash delicate bits of kit (old tech) in pure soap flakes (old tech technical cleaner)...
Perhaps Oldtimer has an old time Jungle Blanket, using old tech materials and is so advocating for the use of old tech cleaning...
