Wanted Hawthorn or Blackthorn

Hi Guys & Gals,

I'm in need of some Hawthorn, Blackthorn or any other 'thorn' wood that has some interesting grain.

I have some of both of the above but mine is quite plain but I know that sometimes it has purple hues in it rather than just the creamy colour. Spalted would be ok too.

I only need enough for a pair of knife scales. I can trade for some wood of a different species or I can pay for them if that's preferred.

i have about 3 tons of hawthorn in my log pile if i find an interesting bit or two i will put them to one side, planning to have another attack on the pile this week, if you drop us a PM later in the week to remind me! as my head is like a sieve at the moment, as i have a newborn son what size blocks are you after say a 8inch length do you?

You should be sorted with that lot but in case it doesn't work out I'll keep an eye out for interesting bits in my log pile too. PM me any time if you like.

Unfortunately Briar doesn't fit my criteria of being a 'thorn' named wood.

However, I may be interested anyway. Is it seasoned and what size?

its seasoned and about 1.5 inches across
