Wanted; 10 metres of black, or very dark brown, artificial sinew.

I've made all the beads and spacer plates for a bronze age jet necklace, (like the one half way down this page

but the linen thread I used to join it all has frayed

Does anyone have black artificial sinew ? I need about 10 metres and I have chaga to offer in a swap.

Ive only got a kinda neutral/light coloured art sinew but I can send you some up if you want Mary

Thanks Sam it sounds like the same colour I have. It really shows up against the black though
I should have made wider holes through the beads, but I can't face redoing them in over 100 beads
Sod's law, and the linen thread was just not strong enough at the thickness I could get through the holes.

Thanks Jim but I tried the nylon thread I have here and like the linen it frayed.
I think it's the constant tiny wee movements of the beads as they swing from the spacer plates that's causing the problem; in modern jewellery making we'd use tiger tail metal wrapped threads at the wear points, but that would be just too obviously non authentic for this set.
