useing cursader kit with trangis burner

i bought a crurader kit, the seller said he has only used it with a traingia burner, the round base in the burner has been taken out, BUt problem is the mug always puts the burner out, ok do i rise the mug up with some steel pegs to give anough room for the meths to flame, or is the something am missing,

yes it is, its almost sits on top of the T/ burner

It was never designed to be used with a meths burner. If you make one of the monkeyboy stoves that will fit in the bottom tray and is really compact.

I use a penny stove, the smaller red-bull size, in my crusader set-up. Works a treat !
