Useful drainage

Had great fun with a digger this week. On Friday I dug a trench to install a drain and on Saturday morning I had a peek to see if it was doing its job after the rain we had overnight. Saw someone had already taken residence...

We have had so little rain where I am that sparrows have begun nesting in the drainpipes of office buildings.

He was probably annoyed that I was shining a torch at him... hopping mad! *

No idea of species, I'm presuming it's a frog but could be a toad. He's welcome to the slugs, no shortage of those!

Looking forward to a bit of rain to test the drainage out and start flattening the soil that we had to disturb to do it.
