Does anyone know of a website or service where I can check an archive of overnight temperatures in the UK? I'm interested in overnight temps in Wales specifically on a month by month basis historically.

Try Weather Underground.
This link should take you to a map of weather stations. If you pick one and select its ID code, then it should give you a link to historical data for that station.
