Hello all,

I need the combined knowledge to shine a light on a knife I have if anyone can help?

Its a Type D MOD Survival Knife that i believe was made and issued late 50s early 60s to Air Crew and Special Forces. I know that Wilkinson Sword made them and William Rogers but I have one made by John Nowill and Sons of Sheffield with a pre NATO stamp of 27C/2360... Does anyone have any information on this particular variant of the Type D?

Thanks

The current MOD Survival knife is the most horrific piece of workmanship (if you can call it that) that i have had the displeasure to behold. The knives are unbranded for a reason - not sure if they are Nowill and Sons.... ? Tis one i have is very old 50s or 60s it well made and tidy. pics to follow once I've sussed it out - new to this forum.

Cheers Stan
