A nice pair indeed:) I like the colour, nice and mellow (and the shape etc etc)

Anything on it? Mine are much lighter coloured than than when first finished.

PS I have a kuksa carving fettish as well.

Thank you so much for the kind words! And I humbly agree :)
It has several layers of linseed oil (pure) (which made the contrast disappear).
Not sanded :) :)
last weeks I submerge everything small I made of wood

Now to the Christening ceremony!!

Old silver coin in the bottom of the kuksa. Cover in coffee until coin dissapears, top up with moonshine until coin can be seen.

Drink and never wash the inside of the cup out again.

Here's a gratuitous kuksa Christening picture at the Ring of Brodgar, Orkney on the stone hit by lightening.

They are very nice indeed. Lovely colour too. I will tell you what they remind me of.... if they were in the bottom of a crystal clear shallow river and I walked past on a sunny day, thats what I would see looking up at me.

You do the rustic look well. Very tactile looking pieces. Unfortunately I never know when to stop always thinking I'll just smooth that bit or round off that bit a little more and before I know it I've sanded it smooth.
