Hi, I need to make space for a shed and came across this really yellow wood. Any idea what tree it is from?

Possibly mahonia

I would think it could be Robinia.

I'm certain its not mahonia but from the bark I can see why you suggest so

its got red leaves and berries. Let me get a photo

Like David says - Berberis

Mahonia was not a bad guess from the wood only as it is in the Berberis family and shares the same yellow wood colouring.

I didn't read the bit about the red leaves and berries, so I withdraw my robinia affirmation!
