I know a few on here have small collections of Trangias... can anyone confirm whether the new production Duossal 2.0 pots stack properly with the ordinary aluminium ones? I have a vague recollection of seeing complaints that they didn't, when they came out a few years ago. I'm wondering whether I can get away with replacing just one of the ally pots in my Trangia 27 with a Duossal, or if I'll need to replace both to get it to pack properly.

My resolve weakened and I decided to buy both Duossal pots. Well actually, I found buying the two pots as separate items was only about £20 cheaper than a complete 27-23 UL/D set, so now I have two Trangia 27's!

Anyway, the answer to my question is that the Duossal pots do seem to come up very slightly larger than the standard ones. The inner standard pot fits in the Duossal outer pot very nicely. The inner Duossal will go into the standard outer, but it doesn't drop all the way down to the rim, and it feels like if the outer pot is non-stick or HA, it will get scratched up when on the move.

So the conclusion: if replacing one regular Trangia 27 pot with a Duossal, it should be the outer.

I expect this won't be a problem with the Trangia 25, which has a bigger size difference between the two pots.
