In Toronto now for a couple of days. Big city, larger than I thought.
Vidited a couple of sport/wilderness stores. Bought some stuff for son and ourselves.
Most diverse was Bass Pro.
Then one of the remaining furriers.
There I bought a Beaver fur hat for son, Otter hat for myself, and some stuff wife liked and needed.

So no more cold heads in Norway!

Bass Pro bought Cabelas, its bound to be well stocked. Cabelas were a people friendly and personal company, big but still friendly. Many jobs in Nebraska were lost, it's a shame to see them swallowed by another big corporation. Even as a kid in Ontario at my uncles cabin in the 70's, those big fishing supply places were like Santas Grotto for me.

Trust me, still a Santas Grotto....
Even for a maturing gentleman like me.
Shirts, tshirts, shoes, boots, gun oil, stock oil, fishing gear.....

I did buy a Carhartt long jacket btw.

Goddamn fantastic quality I have to say. Fjällräven go and hide in shame!

I have 3 different Carhartt coats. You understand why, now? Then there's Eddie Bauer.
Bass Pro must know that they can't fool Canadians with substandard clothing.

Carhartt is always on the horizon, breathing down their necks. The oil patch and the arctic with -50C
will kill people who have to work outdoors, even the diamond miners.
