Has anyone made a tool roll/sheath type affair like the biker type to hold spoon/crook,carving knives?

In a style that will carry on a belt.

Bit like the 'pig quiver' but opening 'up' from the full side, not the top.

Make sense?

Tom.

i have made one for chisels- not held on a belt though, it was more of a tool roll.

very easy to do with thin leather and a good sewing machine

Thanks Nat,any pics per chance?

unfortunately not as i have given it as a gift, but i'll try and describe it:

it was basically one large piece of leather, with the bottom thrid folded back on itsself, the spacings between the chisels were marked and the "dividers" to form each cheparate pocket for a chisel was glued and then sewn, so that each chisel had a recess shaped to fit it's blade thickness, width etc., then a small slot was cut to line up about in the middle of each handle so that a leather shoelace could be threaded through to hold all of the tools in place when open, but a few elastic loops would have been better and just as easy really.

it could be done with a leather belt added so that it could be worn on the belt when unrolled.
