I took this one last year - the great grey bush cricket - note the long hair like attenae that distinguish bush crickets fom grasshoppers
A couple from this weekend - both common
The common green - note the straw coloured stripe down the back
The field grasshopper - almost all straw coloured - got this one last year when it jumped on our map!
The meadow grasshopper - see how short the wings are - it is in fact flightless
None of these are rare - but its always interesting to me to tell them apart.
The one thing I am confident of is someone will correct at least one of my IDs
