What is the most beautiful knife you have ever seen? It can be one you own, or it can just be a picture of one you have seen on the internet.

Mine has to be the Helle 'Harding' - I think it is just stunning, although I did see one that my great-grandfather had made with a Thuja root burl, and it was incredible.

Thanks, Jake.

The Bearclaw Field Knife is the one that I think is the best, in looks aswell as usability. I've used the prototype and one of the production models they really are the dogs.

Wow......... Wow.... I've always wanted a damascus knife, but I'd always worry about buying one that is intended as a showcase knife, and not being able to use it.

But that is one gorgeous looking knife.

Thanks, its a damascus woodlore with ironwood handle, and it does get used, and abused, I was a little worried about using it at first but I can honestly say it holds its edge, will not stain and hardly scratches,.. it beats my woodlore 01 hands down, everyday of the week, literally..

I asked Mr A Wood to make it, I asked for a woodloore in damascus with ironwood slabs, red liners, and stainless pins,.. I asked for a buffallo hide sheath.., I waited a long time, It then arrived and the waiting I realised was what made it special, I couldnt buy it over a counter, I couldnt order it next day RMSD and when it arrived I understood why......The woodlore 01 is a cracking knife, I used one for a long time (4 years), Its not my first choice anymore...

This may sound rather pathetic, but I've already started saving the pennies.... :p maybe I should use a different wood for the handles.... nah, sorry, it has to be a carbon (lol :lmao: ) copy. I'm sad, I know....

Thanks for all the response,

Jake.

Has to be a knife right? :p :lmao:

I like this one: Alan Wood Bushcrafter (British Blade Knife) - with an altered handle though (already mailed Alan about it - awaiting his reply :D ):
Designed by Martyn (he has pic on BB aswell, but for some reason the link breaks when I try to ad it in this post).

That's 'cos it stops people using BB's bandwidth on other sites ;) Very useful - I have a friend who unwittingly had an image hotlinked by a newspaper and promptly lost 50 quid in upgrading his web server account!
My favourite knife will always be my Jegermester, it's very plain looking, but beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder. :)

My favourite two knives are:

Amboyna Burl Fighter by Anders Högström

and the Sidekick by Brian Goode

Both very different types of knives but I really like the styling of them.
