Well maybe a bit of an overstatement but this is a very bad thing.

That is close to commercialisation of our armed forces, will we see group4 running a privatised army in future? I bet soldiers still get issued crappy Hi Tec Silver Shadows while the stupid masses buy 'ARMY TRAINERS' for £70.

I may have to go and lie down to get over the shock. If you saw that on ebay you would think it was a scam.

There is a book, Snowcrash by Neal Stephenson, which is set in a future USA where the armed forces (and everything else) have been privatised, the authors tongue is firmly in his cheek, but I seem to recall this is exactly how his nightmare future began!

Look at it the other way Bill,squaddies have been flogging kit out of the back door for years! now its going to be branded and legit. the sales will go out of the window.
The youfs wont find any street cred from Forces brands,not exactly top banana designers,
Just bananas.
