There was a thread here a week or two ago that turned into a discussion on Swedish army axes, they might be the same ones.
It's the 'Which Axe?' thread. Start from about page 4.

I had one of the green painted axes. I bought it and a Swedish bowsaw from an American surplus and survival online store. The saw was also pained green and was a very aggresive cutting tool. The axe was a 4# head, made by Hults bruk (HB) and had a relatively short 20" handle. I never got the opportunity to use the axe because someone broke into my truck and stole it, the saw and some other tools.

Quite a good handy looking axe arrived. Made by Hults Bruks roughly a two foot shaft and quite a wide very sharp 1.2 head.
I intend to remove the blue paint and sand+oil the shaft and generally tart it up a bit.
Well worth the wonga :naughty:
