Sugar Maple and Sycamore sap.

Has anyone tapped either sycamore or sugar maple (must be some canadians here!)

Any difference compared to birch (technique and timing?)

I only have the one sugar maple- can I safely make more than one tap (the safety of the tree is paramount.)

I have tried to tap a sycamore but with no luck.
