String trimmer cord
I found a half spool of string trimmer cord in the free box at a yard sale. Tuened out it was too heavy for my string trimmer so i re-purposed the cord.

Did you heat-fuse the ends to tidy up? I like the 3-strand best.
Took me years to comprehend that the string diameter is color coded. I am thicker than any of them.

I did nothing to the ends. The springiness of the cord keeps the ends in place
