Firebricks are incredibly light. That's the ones for high temperature furnace and kiln linings. Find a place that sells, services and restores and they're usually happy to give you a box for a fiver
I usually manage to get some from Burnbank, just across the river. Lot of the folks who do metal work like them for use in their forges.
