Ironic isn't it? All my life I've been prepared for a sudden emergency and my EDC and grab bag reflects this. I've always put this down to being a war baby when the possibility of being bombed out was an everyday reality.

Now the emergency is here, none of my grab it and go stuff is any use!

Yep. Being prepared is definitely an asset. The problem is predicting just what to be prepared for.

Im fine but I had to leave my Nesting Box quicker than expected. I was hoping for advance warning, but no, it was all `We shut Midnight last night please be packed and out ASAP`.

Dad is fine but how long he will remain fine is anybodys guess.
