You know that bit on your mobile phone that says Dewi with a little telephone handset next to it Dave? You should just push that... there'll be a voice on the other end of the phone who'll be able to sort you out :D

Hi Dewi. I'll give you call mate.

Hi Al. No never used it before. Any tips? im not making a pukkoo sheath with it.

This is a photo of a Busse BWM, sheath, with half tanned leather wrapped around the kydex sheath it comes in, done by martin winkels.

I was planning on doing something similiar, but not in black.

That could be done with veg tan leather.

Edit
The reason for using halftanned leather is that will mould very well buy goes hard and pretty much replace the kydex it is that hard. You know the rawhide dog chews you get it is that hard with a nice finished surface. Veg tanned leather is easier to source and when wet would also mould round this shape quite easly esepcially if thinned a little on the fold it would be cheaper for you to get and more normal to work as the shrink rate is higher with veg halftanned leather.

I mostly use halftanned leather myself.

I owuldnt make a sheath like this from veg tanned leather as it has no liner.
