They will be!

Need to do sheaths and add a few more coats of the last stage of ccl oil oh and get glue marks of the blades

i've been admiring your homemade patina, might have to give it ago.

You have mentioned you used linseed oil and vinegar, any chance of more details mate ;)

That is basically it!

I got a day off work (at last) and thought id handle a couple of blades and try the patina on the knife i use. Just wacked some linseed on in random pattern and bathed in vinegar untill i got desired result! oh and used a piece of 2500 grit sand paper and lightly rubbed over it!

So let me get this straight, smear blade with linseed oil using your little finger or some such technical instrument :p

Then immerse blade in chip shop vinegar :rolleyes:

Keep removing to get the desired result - how long would you say to leave in vinegar

I dabbed linseed oil on with kitchen roll, i left it for 6 or 7 hours and it was very dark. It lightened up when i lightly rubbrd it with 2500 grit paper.

I have to apologise my instructions are poor! i just tend to do things and forget how they are done, but when i come to do them again it's there. Im wierd :D
