Hey guys, the other day I took apart my old army pogie bait bag or butt pack. I had it for years and years but it wasn't seeing a lot of use lately so I decided to strip it down and save the canvas. I don't own a car so instead I made a leather satchel that I carry every day here in Costa Rica. Yesterday I hand sewed this organizational pouch out of the old canvas to fit in my leather satchel. Fairly simple design with one internal pocket and it holds all of my miscellaneous small gear. Things like a small first aid kit, battery bank and Cords for cell phone and flashlight, a Master lock, Zip ties, Buff, masks and wall charger too. With a mix of 1/3 beeswax- paraffin- coconut oil and a heat gun I applied the waterproofing to the 30+ year old material and it really soaked it up great! I'm very happy with how the pouch looks with my hand stitching and I think it's going to be super functional. Plus it's something that I've had since I was in 10th Mountain so lots of memories.
