Slit Open ing Storage Bag

I make this style storage bag to keep onions and potatoes. There is a drawstring at the top for adding new items. There is a slit opening (outlined in red string) to take items out one at a time. No need to take the bag off the hook and open the drawstring. Shown here with tennis balls to show the idea. I have made them for friends who take the bags in their camper. Tony

That's a neat idea Tony

They could hang under the tarp for keeping stuff handy. Plenty of air round it too, you could dry anything from clothes to meat in it.

We have a netted laundry bag similar to that knocking about somewhere, I might just have to acquire it

I made the bags using these techniques:

Start with the chain start
when you reach the desired length follow "using the chain start for tubular.."
Use any of the "drop knot" methods.
Now follow the thread "basketball net - tubular netting ....." to see how to make the slit opening. Tony

I tried a horizolntal slit for this bag. Works well and there is only one row to make the opening. In the vertical slit net there are 6 rows. Tony
