SK-4 steel?

iv got a broken silky saw blade which i got from college (no i didn't break it lol). it is roughly the same thickness as a frosts mora knife and according to silky's website they are made of SK-4 high carbon steel.
will this steel make a good knife?

Yes, it should. Its a JIS Japanese designation.

Looks like if you treat it like 1095 you won't be far wrong.
