couple of blades made by Singblister (John Millington) from some old Land Rover springs
(a 1960 Series 2 88" - the orginal springs)
First off a Nessmuk that John very kindly made (possibly) for my firend that supplied the springs. But as he is in Tanzania for a year he'll have to wait until I've used it
It takes a wicked edge. I put the final bevel on by hand (John would of made it neater). The heat treatment is so good that even before I had touched it with a fine sharpmaker I had to have a visit to A&E to fix my finger tip back on - got distracted and placed the blade on my finger, not even in a cutting motion.
Next up a? well I'm going to call it a utility knife.
There was no design for this we just let to metal dictate the shape, then just a couple of very minor tweeks. It really is a nice little general purpose knife, I've limbed upto 4" branches by cutting slice out with it:
