when we buy duck from the supermarket, exactly what species of duck is it?

The one I had Was Gressingham, couldn't find a orange so it went down well with some chilled irn bru.

Can't really compare store bought duck to game, v different birds.
Possibly the only meat I prefer from a shop actually.

There has been some recent bad publicity about supermarket duck suppliers , just in case people think they are treated better than chickens etc .

Although the PETA chaps were protesting Duck farms because ducks are predominantly kept indoors. Obviously as Per, not doing proper research.

Ducks actually prefer to see a roof for the majority of the day, stops them getting stressed looking up for predators.
