Shooting stick.

Bought a shooting stick from a car boot sale that needed some T L C.
This is the stick after fitting new leather handle covers ,wood shaft and the metal work buff up. The maker is John Collier ( The ok gamage ) is stamped on the metal work.

Have you simply replaced the leatherwork like for like or have you modified it to your own taste, design, available materials?

i have always had one of one kind or another great when you go to game shows for sitting on and resting watching the shows extra. thats a nice one. good find.

The new leather is thicker than what was on the handle and stands a little higher in the shoulders . The new shaft is made from ash and longer than the old one,it was riddled with wood worm
