I am going over to Sheffield on bussines on Friday and I understand there are a few good knife makers over there

Anybody have any suggestions of where to go I am after a nice pocket folder

Morton's on West Street or The Sheffield Shop on Ecclesall Road may have something to tempt you. I would try the Sheffield Shop first. They don't keep a lot of particularly high-end / esoteric stuff though, if that's what you're after, but a great shop and a nice bloke. No connection etc etc

It's not just knives though - pick up a nice hip flask while you're here too...

Not sure if many of the makers would want you wandering around in the workshops but I'd have thought using a search engine for "knifemaker sheffield" or "cutler sheffield" would start you off in the right direction. There are four Sheffield makers listed here although if you're in a hurry you'll probably be giving Stan Shaw a miss.

Maybe better asking on British Blades?

I've been meaning to ask Scorpion Knives if they have a Sheffield factory shop. Ok not any folders there, but some nice knives.
