last night hedgehog told us when we met up in brighton that there had been reports of sheep rolling over cattle grids to get at villagers flowers in their gardens etc.

i couldn't quite believe it - googled it - and here is the report on the bbc web-site.

Sheep are quite intelligent creatures and have more brainpower than people are willing to give them credit for

When i worked for the county council i went to a few sheep related jobs. On the work sheet ,sheep that rolled over cattlegrids, were known as educated sheep
PS I do live in Wales where men are men and sheep are nervous

I have watched sheep actually walk across a cattle grid  There were a group of well motivated sheep at Eyebrook Reservoir that learned to tip-toe across the flat rail type grid. LOL very educated sheep...and not a muntjac in sight.
