Sea Trout

Evening all Out for a wander along the coast path with the mutt today and got talking to a guy who told me there was a great place for spinning for Sea Trout not more than a 20 minute walk from my front door on a long shallow beach he reckons low tide slack water is the best time, so i've dug me waders out, got the spinning kit ready and I'll head out straight from work tomorrow

Makes a Monday a pleasant day

Try various tides and times as well mate. As you know there is a world of difference between LW spings and LW neaps.

spun me heart out and got one small pollock !! ........but i didn't BLANK !! HAH !!

What lures did you use?

LOL ! you wouldn't have got a fish finger out of this one !!

Dunno.........think it may be called a minnow or something......metal, heavy, 2" long, blue and silver. Nothing on the Flying "C"'s though.

Can you use flying Cs on the coast, I thought they were more of a river thing. I had a small salmon on one last year on my only spinning trip out
