And are bears really such a threat? I always thought as long as you leave them alone and are without cups they are camera shy...

Best of luck to him, hope he manages it and comes home safely.
As a mum I have to admit I'd be worried sick if he were mine though. Chuffed to bits for his gumption but still a nervous wreck.
