That is very expensive string at the end of the day. I can see the appeal if you are in a situation where you are carrying all your kit over long distances etc but for most of us it is survival bling that we probably would all like to play with but don't really need.

OscarDelta sells the necklaces & bracelets with Technora. Apparently makes a good friction saw for zip ties etc.

Also heard rumours of starting a fire by friction, but haven't seen it done.
