Red's Birds (Very Picc Heavy)

Scottish Wolf has asked me to post a few of my raptor pictures in one place, so I thought I would oblige - some of these you will probably have seen - others perhaps not.

I'll put up a few - one to a post so's not to murder my counrtside dial up!

This is a nice dramatic one to kick off with - a Bald Eagle launching into flight

Since you are going to get into falconry SW, a study of a Harris Hawk seems appropriate...

Not as sharp as I like, but the best I've managed yet of the common buzzards that overfly my house

Very nice Buzzard shot Red, I watched a pair in the Lake District the other weekend hovering above a ridge of a mountain for hours. They then flew right over me, very beautiful birds, fascinating to watch them hunt.

If you could see the pair of kites nesting where i fish you'd like alot totally undisturbed since the forestry commision closed access to (neds) to the forest drive. Quite a few nice burdies up there

I do love Red kites - I have a few piccs but nothing as good as that black kite one...yet!

Wow guys, they're amazing, what camera/lens are you using red?

Theres a variety in there Michelle to be honest. Most of the "in flight" ones are taken on a Canon D400 with a Sigman 135 -400mm zoom
