Hi,

I cannot seem to find any boiled linseedoil where I live. Raw linseedoil, on the other hand, is easy to get. Can I boil this to make boiled linseedoil, or is that an odd thought?

No it's not odd. You can boil it youself, but I would advise you do it outside if you can as it does pen & ink a bit. Boiled linseed oil dries a little quiker than raw. Are you sure you need it boiled though ?

I applied raw to some scales on my knife and it looks lovely.

I'm adding a gentle coat oncea week for a month to make sure it gets in deep. than it'll be once a month after that!

That looks lovely!
Thanks guys, I`ll get me some raw oil tomorrow.

Do I just put some one a piece of cloth, and rub it onto the wood?

hand rub it mate, do it for about 20 mins as the warmth of your hands helps it soak in, then hang the wood over night after a light wipe down. then just apply a little bit once a week for a month with a cloth or fingers just to make sure you get enough in..after that it's just a light wipe over once a month or so!

great stuff!
