Price of Opinel 7 SS blade??

I was in a little shop recently and saw one of the above for £22. I thought it was an astounding rip-off. My Opinel 7 cost me £7 in carbon steel about 4 years ago so I was shocked at the mark-up involved.

What do you think? How can retailers do this??

Because people are stupid enough not to look online and just buy in store straight away. I'm always amazed when i see Swiss army knives for sale for £40-£50 when you can get them for half that on Amazon.

So I am right that £22 is expensive. What are they really worth these days? Perhaps I should google.

Heinnies have the 08 in stainless for about nine quid. Seems fair enough.
