Took things a bit more steady this trip out with just a fifteen mile round trip spread over two nights/ three days. No plan as such or rush to get any particular place just plod on, bivvy down, exploring less travelled paths and enjoying the scenery. Performed the ritual of stacking a few rocks at the cairns and worked on my sun tan
be grateful I'm not into selfies for the sight of me stripped to the waist is not pretty.

Being to beat to go bushwacking at this point pencilled this route in for another time.
The 'Singing Gate', I'd heard about this moorland oddity a while back from some ramblers. When the wind is right it blows across holes that have rusted through the metalwork creating an eerie flute like sound that can be heard some distance away. Tried recording it on my cell-phone but results pretty poor, shame because the microphone manages to pick up my stomach growling in one of the lakeside videos.
