Recently purchase a Snowtrekker Wood Burning Stove - Medium http://www.snowtrekkertents.com/portablewoodstoves.html, to go into the new Tundra 4 http://www.pointbarwilderness.co.uk/tundra4.htm, and I've hit a snag. :oh:

The chimney is too short to go through the vent in the roof, by about 6". :( Not the fault of the seller. He'd never used the Tundra and Stove together, so didn't know.

Anyway, for the time being I've fasioned an extention out of galvanised steel mesh and tinfoil, contacted the seller to confirm I had all the parts and I've contacted the makers about purchasing a couple of extra pipe extensions.

My question is, has anyone else come across something similar and how did they overcome it?

I don`t seem to be able to open either of the links but have you thought about buying a flue liner from a heating supplies. I think these come in both flexible and rigid version which can be cut to the desired length. From what I can remember the come in 5, 6 and 7 inch diameter so I`m not sure if these would marry up with what you`ve already got.

Just a thought !!

try these

Good link Shewie.

That type of flue liner should be available from a good DIY of builder's merchant. Single flue pipe is cheap as chips and available in several different diameters. I am unclear is the flue is insulated or not.

Uninsulated flue liner is often called stove pipe by merchants.

Hope this helps.
