Bushcrafter (boy, I've got a lot to say!)
Was looking on the web for a Platypus style water contianer and found this.

The Platypus Preserve Wine Bottle.

I'm not sure if I think its a good idea or bad idea.

Has any one used one of these or seen one?

Not used one of those before but if (on rare occasions) I have some wine left in a bottle that I want to keep then I decant into a plastic soft drink bottle, and squeeze out the excess air before closing the top. This is much the same idea as the Platypus, and it does make a noticeable difference to the taste of (especially red) wine a day or two after opening the bottle.

I think Wayland uses something similar but with a leather outer?? Search the forum and I'm sure it will come up.

I have one which I decant into from the bottle and press to expunge the air above the liquid after partaking of a glass which helps keep the wine fresh. I am very pleased with it and it cleans out well after use.
