pig nut recipies?

I have found pig nuts and tryed them .but if some one can tell me the best way to get to the nut ,it takes me a good 20 min and a lot of

Dutch recipe:

Step 1 collect your pignuts
Step 2 bring them over to Holland and plant them all overthere

They don´t grow here!
(well actually they do, but just at one localized spot in the whole of the country with only a few plants )

That's right. UK law says that is is illegal to uproot ANY wild plant without 'authorisation'. I'm lucky that I have landowners who are interested in what I am doing with wild plants and have no problem about me wandering around their land... In doing so I can also act as another pair of eyes on their property which can be a good way paying them back for their hospitality.
