I have batteries but those are quite expensive so would be extra. Also a lot of people already have Milwaukee system so they might want to buy just the bare tool.

Last question. My chainsaw is milwaukee. it has a 12AH battery. will that fit on the lamp?

Yes. Everything M18 is compatible with anything M18. 12Ah might be a bit unbalanced to carry it around but would work beautiful as a flood light.

Is the 4ah batterie a milwaukee one? or compatible? £20 is cheap?

Yes it's a genuine Milwaukee battery. New ones are £50. This have been used around the house so charged maybe 7-8 times so plenty of life left.
