Could you possibly give me details about the poles used in this item?
are they rigid or fibreglass? and if poss could i get a pic of them and their dimentions?

i'm about to finally mod my bivi to be hooped and i have all the parts barring my poles. my choices are either the ends nabbed off some whips (fishing rods) or get a fibre pole replacement set from somewhere.

i reckon the whip should give enough bend but i wanted details on the snugpak as its technically all been done and there's no sense re-inventing the wheel :D
thanks!

I've just been messing with mine Pete so I've got it handy.

The poles are aluminium, probably 9mm diameter I think.
They are in five sections joined with shockcord.
The two end sections are straight and 300mm long including the end lug (for the eyelets)
The three middle sections are precurved and 360mm.

When slotted together the ends pull into towards each other for the Stratosphere fit, so an arc around 1000mm at the ground.

Like I said I've got it here next to me so if you want any pics doing let me know.
