Web site layout looks nice to me but there were a few images that didnt display for me on the Kuksa page. My only comment on the commerce side would be P&P costs. for something like a kuksa i think £5 is probably reasonable but for a spoon it is probably pushing it. I would suggest you use signed for delivery as there are a lot of shysters out there if my ebay shop is anything to go by and people will deny delivery if no sig is required.

The work is wonderful and i could easily be tempted by a kuksa when you open. Do drop me a mail when you are live please

Edit: just noticed flat rate bit in the ordering section but obviously needs clarifying in item pages.

I like your layout very much. It is clean, neat and true to the subject. No noise or fancy s**it, just good craftmanship!

Looks good, I like the layout / colours etc. You might find it easier using a content management system, like drupal which is particularly powerful. Check out http://www.larkvalleywillow.co.uk/ Lark Valley Willow (which uses drupal 6 and ubercart). Also you might benefit from google analytics. (Also you have directory listing enabled for the root of your site instead of a generic index / 'site coming soon' page). No CSS errors or any javascript :)

4 broken images on kuksa page and on contact page
the site would need to be made a bit more search engine friendly, in the header bit etc
would be worth doing an SEO check
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEF9Ia1HmSk

the decoration at the bottom looks nice
nice colours/images

only critique would be the amount of plain brown at the top
also the font is quite plain, you could try a google web font
http://www.google.com/webfonts#HomePlace:home

as previous post, have a look at google analytics

feel free to PM with with any questions

Ok from my IT/Web based experience, the site is nice and fresh, a clean layout, images are a good size to display your work, information is clear and concise, there are a few images not showing (IE9) on the Kooksa page, another on the Contact page and no email addy yet, no biggies there. You're Homepage page IMHO should be added to your About page not as a seperate page.

Your TOC page maybe could be merged with your purchasing page there is some info the same on both?

I know you have your copyright notice on your TOC but if I were you I would also 'watermark' all the pics used on the site with a transparent name, there are free watermarking tools available that will also batch precess so you can do a whole set at a time. Just stops the people who really don't care about copyright infringement from nicking your pics.

Apart from that I'd say your work is stunning and the whole thing together is very professionally done, good job. :D

Just one other small thing, one of the spreaders you say it has a twist along it which adds 'charactor', it's character, I know it sounds like knit picking but in a recent survey I saw somewhere typos/spelling mistakes were one of the biggest turn offs for the general public for websites, run a spell checker through everything. Honestly not having a dig. I'd love to commision a cranked spatula if you can do one, I have one in S/S but it's not very kind on some of my pans. :D

I will look up drupal, the site is currently in a test folder soon to be moved into the root directory

If you need any help getting a CMS setup with ecommerce functions I'd be happy to help you get sorted. I've ran a few clan websites for online gaming etc and I'm no stranger to setting these types of websites up. Ecommerce sites shouldn't be too much harder to tac on to a CMS. If you do decide that you want my help just drop me a PM and I'll do my best to help you out (Free of course)

That is an amazingly kind offer, thank you.

I will stick with what I have and see how I get on, but do not be surprised if you get an email :)

Hi Baggy, great website, and really nice looking products, which is the most important thing. So don't worry too much about what I'm about to say, as really it's just the English teacher in me.
In your welcome you say 'use greenwood for all the carving which I source it during coppicing or from local arborists.' I would delete 'it'. Plus on your About place you switch from third person to first person.
Both these things are tiny, so feel free to ignore!

Yes, like it!

Good clean design, everything laid out well, all links worked for me.

Really small, nitpicking, niggle - T's & C's page title, "Terms and conditionsng". Not critical to the overall appearance and most people will probably not even notice it, but my eye picked it up straight away. (I'm now checking this mail o make sure I haven't made any spellnig mustaces...)

God, I must get out more...

I also like the "clean lines" of the site. Along with the simple but quality photo's of excellent work, gives a very good "warm wood" feel to the site. I am not sure how but haveing the orange in the photo also works. Maybe something with the texture but it does work.

Thanks :)

The orange was initially just to show scale but the injection of colour does seem to add something.
