Oregano Advice

I have oregano in a big pot in the garden, it's grew pretty big stalk and has pile of leaves on it, can I cut these stalks without fear of harming the plant? I wanted to bundle them for drying if this is possible!

Oregano is pretty tough, just don't take all of it in one go. Won't be doing too much growing ATM

Yes, Oregano is a hardy perennial, cut back hard and dry the leaves no problem.

Or just stick in a southerly window and grow it on through the winter

I xan't kill the stuff here - its like mint. Have at it Johnny - it'll be fine

same as above , i just make sure to not cut back into woody growth, then i chuck it in the dehydrater for a couple of hours then strip the leaves off the stalk and put them in used spice jars.

ps thanks for reminding me id better do the same now as the weathers set to turn soon here !
