On the off-chance ~ Cyrillic?

I picked up a surplus cotton canvas bag today. Inside was this little round tin (two pence piece for scale). I'm fairly confident that the bag is for a respirator but I can't say whether or not the tin has any relevance to either the bag or respirator usage :dunno:

Inside are a load of round paper discs and two square notes. One has a number, the other instructions on each side and, unfortunately, I don't read Cyrillic and I'm sort of curious as to what the intended use was and what each side of the label says.

Is anyone able to help with their purpose and / or a translation?

The letters on the lid (which translate to NP ~ I think) are included on one side of the note ...

Thanks for taking the time to read through and thanks in advance for any help ...

them ruskies used to train with live toxins back then!:p

I think most did  . I'm hopeful that the warning note wouldn't have been put on the inside :p :lmao:

(But it wouldn't be the first thing to have vital 'do not open unless' instructions on the inside  )

There is a collectors market for Gas masks, they are some of the most intresting bits of military hardware available to any one interested in History, Chemistry, Plastics or name your war buff's. They where made in the millions by millions of manufactures so they have quirks on a standard so they have intrigue value too so it's added to the collectables value.

i have destroyed loads recently !

they have turned up in schools complete with boxes and bags etc, used in history classes and living history acting, trouble is they contain asbestos in the filter.........we HAVE to have them removed by a specialist contractor and disposed of with a consignment note etc.

translate:
"Preserve for any wet. Take only on the edges. Side of the film, sweating from the breath is applied to the glass. The used film is replaced by a new one. When sponging mask "NP" is not clean."

This my language I am ruskies . This is probably anti-fog film for NBC mask glass.
And canvas bag was probably from gas mask , like old British "Indiana Jones" bag.

PS: yes anti-fog film for this NBC mask.
