Old mans beard

On arriving to kincraig in the highlands I was surprised by the amount of old mans beard growing on trees and fence posts. I wad given some back in Norfolk and used in sparingly but now I've stocked up. This is a good tinder along with the pine cones I soon get a good fire going.

There's a ot of it hangs of the birch trees up there in Badenoch and Strathspey, I guess it might be because it rains so much. Lovely place though, Loch Insh a good place to paddle.
