i was on u tube the other day and saw someone make a HOBO cooker couldnt help but make one myself and tried it in the snow on thursday it has to be said it worked well however i did find it fuel hungry and difficult to control the temperature for cooking my meal.
in the summer the fuel issue would go away but the wood was so wet that it caused me a few problems with it being such a small fire.
i recommend folks give it a go

I think you'll find a fair few people already have Neil. There's even a dedicated hobo stove gallery with pictures of their versions .

There's quite a few novel versions in there and well worth browsing for ideas and inspiration

Yeah lol, I spend a lot of time studying the hobo stove gallery, it's one of my favorite threads. Great works in there.
