WAASSUUUPPP!!!
After a very boring week at work last week, (I finished all my work a week early but wasn't allowed to move on to the Lathe training section of my work until next week) So I got bored and started thinking up ways I could make a semi permanent shelter, that I could go out in and spend a night whenever I wanted and all Id need to take would be my tarp and some rope to form the shelter. After some mulling over of a couple of rough ideas I came up with this:
(quickly drawn on a notepad so its not the best drawing ever, red indicates the tarp, black = wood and blue = wrope/string) I also drew everything square for quickness obviously in reality they're all round.
I was happy with it so this morning I was up at 8:30 and out the door by 9:30 to walk up to my woods and test my idea
The area underneath would usually be cleared but this was just a tester and to build the initial frame.. what do you think!
now I have seen it what im thinking of doing is using two tarps to give more head height...something a little like this, excuse the awful drawing done in a minute on paint. for display purposes only haha...
I was also thinking of closing the open end in the night just by putting a tarp draped across the gap?? and then having my new wood burner (shown in this link HERE) at the end that has a stick wall with the chimney going out, this would allow adequate space for any fumes like carbon monoxide to escape and yet I think it would give us sufficient heat to keep warm?
